History :

The health services in Dayalbagh were started on 26th April 1917 with distribution of free medicines to the students and on payment to the Satsangis under one of the staircases of Radhasoami Educational Institute (REI) building.  Following this the Radhasoami Satsang Sabha established another institution under the name, Saran Ashram, in the year 1926.  A dispensary was attached to the Saran Ashram and a beginning made to provide regular medical aid to the permanent residents of the colony. Later, in 1927, a maternity section was added  and thus the Saran Ashram Hospital came into being. Since then the hospital is serving both  followers and non follower of Radhasoami faith.  Param Guru Sahabji Maharaj addressed the hospital staff and exhorted them to do their “work with responsibility”. Later, in 1931, the Hospital was shifted to the newly constructed 5 building blocks in the present campus.
