SARAN ASHRAM HOSPITAL SERVICES HIGHLIGHTS

On campus Medical & Health Services:

    • Out Patient Departments: with an annual turnover of approximately 2.20 lac patients (approx.80 % from outside Dayalbagh), the hospital provides free medical services round the clock. It has 11 bed maternity In Patient Department (IPD), 3 Bed Transit Facility and various Out Patient Departments (OPD)of general and consultant physicians, consultants in maternity, dental services, paediatrics, general surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ENT, TB & Chest, pulmonary medicine, urology, cardiology, diet and nutritionand clinical psychology. 
    • Other services include physiotherapy, pathology and microbiology, ultrasonography, ECG, X-Ray, free cataract surgery and dressing & injection facilities.
    • Round the clock First Aid & Emergency services are provided by doctors and paramedical staff in the 3 Bed Transit Facility. To ensure round the clock availability of skilled manpower some doctors and paramedical staff and other support staff have been provided residential accommodation on the hospital campus and doctors rostered on duty.
    • Mandatory health check-upof prospective bride and bridegrooms is being carried out as per Marriage Panchayat regulations.
    • Regular health check-up of students, teachers and all employees of Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI), Sabha and Societies.
    • Healthcare centre works round the clock with doctors and attendants rostered on duty for persons visiting Dayalbagh.
    • Seminars on medical topics of general interest are conducted regularly in the Hospital from time to timefor updating the knowledge of doctors and students.
    • Teaching of students of BHMS, Nursing Aids, Up-Vaid courses. The hospital has teaching space and Library for these teaching programmes.
    • Telemedicine services are regularly organised with doctors of remote areas, such as Rajaborari, who require expert advice. Efforts are being made to expand this to international level.

Off campus medical and health services:

      • First Aid is provided to those requiring emergency treatment in Satsang Hall. Doctors and helpers are on duty during morning and evening Satsang.  They are provided with emergency kit containing emergency medicines and equipment.
      • Likewise, First Aid is provided in morning and evening Khet (Fields) to those requiring it. One doctor with helper is posted there regularly. First Aid facility is also provided on DEI campus on DEI Founder’s Day, Convocation and other special occasions. Doctors and helpers are on duty at these venues with emergency kit on such occasions.
      • Kalmegh Karha is regularly distributed to the residents of Dayalbagh to prevent spread of malaria and viral infections. Advice is also given to them and Satsangis in Branch Satsangs / Centres in India and abroad by experts, including about prevalence and prevention of diseases. Further, fogging is carried out by in SNC in various parts of Dayalbagh and connected localities to prevent mosquito-borne diseases.
      • Ayurvedic dispensaries function at Prem Nagar / Vidyut Nagar and New Agra. Other Ayurveda related activities include teaching students of Up Vaid (Ayurvedic Pharmacy) course andherbal garden is maintained as a part of Ayurvedic activities.
      • Homoeopathic Dispensary managed by The Dayalbagh Medical Relief Society, functions near Prem Nagar gate.
      • Karyaveer Nagar Dispensary is managed by The R. S. Karyaveer Nagar Charitable Hospital Society. It provides homoeopathic and modern medicine treatment to the residents and adjacent village populations.
      • Radha Nagar Dispensary is managed by The R. S. Dairybagh Charitable Hospital Society. It provides modern medicine treatment to the residents of Radha Nagar and nearby locations.
      • Acupressure Centre is managed by the Dayalbagh Medical Relief Society  runs at 4/14 Kitchen Complex, Dayalbagh.
      • Drug distribution: Drug Distribution Centres, managed by The Dayalbagh Medical Relief Society, with one outlet each of Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy & Ayurveda provide drugs at optimal price without profit to the residents of Dayalbagh and pilgrims coming to Dayalbagh.
      • Free Multispecialty Medical Camps and other activities are organised, every Sunday, by NSS of DEI for nearby populations with consultation in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Ayurvedic consultations by specialists of respective systems of medicine. Doctors from Saran Ashram Hospital and other clinics in Dayalbagh provide free medical consultation at these camps. Common medicines are provided to the patients free of cost. In addition, pathology tests, ultrasound and ECG are carried out without charge. Free physiotherapy treatment is also available at these camps.
      • Multispecialty Free Specialty Medical Camps are also organised at Rajaborari (MP), NOIDA (UP), Delhi, Gurugram (Haryana), Faridabad (Haryana), Chandigarh, Chennai, MTV Puram and at other places from time to time.
      • A Medical Centre is organised inside the colony jointly by the Saran Ashram Hospital and Shiromani Nagar Committee (SNC) during each Bhandara, Basant, Holi and other special occasions. It provides round the clock, free of cost, medical treatment in Modern medicine, Homoeopathy and Ayurveda, and acupressure, both to the pilgrims and residents of Dayalbagh. Facilities of ECG, dressing, and administration of injections and carrying out minor procedures as well as transportation of referred patient are also provided through the Centre.
  • Rajaborari Health Services: There is a well-equipped Radhasoami Adivasi Charitable Hospital located at Rajaborari which provides round the clock free modern medicine and homoeopathy services to the residents of Rajaborari Estate and neighbourhood places outside the Estate. The free services include consultations (OPD), pathology tests, Injection and dressing and supply of medicines. An Ambulance is available at the hospital to transport referred and emergency cases to higher centres when required.  The hospital also runs free medical camps and thus provides medical services at the door steps of the residents of villages daily by rotation. The hospital also organises health awareness programmes for their benefit and conducts annual health check-up of students, teachers of the local schools and employees of Rajaborari Estate.
  • Health facilities in Satsang Branches & Centres are organised through various Registered Societies/ Regional Associations. The services comprise of First Aid Centres or clinics of Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Ayurveda. The Dayalbagh Experiential Medical Expert (DEMEX) guidelines for management of common diseases are also available at all the Satsang Branches.
  • The Saran Ashram hospital at Dayalbagh is equipped with adequate solar power to support its regular electricity requirement.
  • To facilitate transportation of patients to and fro the hospital and other major centres a fully equipped ambulance with life support systems and other electric vehicles are available.
  • Future plans– The hospital is under up-gradation for which 5 new buildings are under construction. More manpower is being added and new equipment are being procured to expand and upgrade the services.
